Change is significant in history because without change, life and society would keep going the same way it went years ago. Your parents might think that’s a good thing, but after 1.000 years it would be quite boring. Change is significant because change can mean improvement. Improvement in the economy, government, and in peoples’ personal lives. Change can be mandatory at time, even if we don’t always appreciate it.
Without change, we would never find a way out of bad situations, whether it be in the economy, government, etc. For example, we would never have gotten out of the great depression without change. Change, in this case, was the New Deal. The New Deal got us out of the Great Depression by giving people jobs and improving he economy.
But, if you look at the situation from a different perspective, you might think that without change we might never have gotten into the Great Depression. The economy would still have been strong. However, change is inevitable and we cannot rewrite history.
There are many ways to look at change throughout the course of history.

Natural resources have played an important role in our history. Trees, for example, create oxygen, which we need
to survive. Natural resources have been an important part of our economy. Things like coal, gold, and silver have boosted our economy very much. Though there has been many times where natural resources have hurt our economy. They can cost a lot or spill, like the oil spill in the gulf.
Conflict has started over natural resources. When we first settled in North America there were big conflicts over natural resources. For example we got in a lot of fights with the Indians over land and other natural resources.
In conclusion natural resources has led to many things, such as us settling this country, and we need to protect them.

Change was significant in history because without change people world be used to the exact same thing. There are many ways to look at change through the lenses of history. We would still have slavery, more kings and queens than we do right now, the same laws and probably only those laws.
Change is very good for all of us. Change brings new things to everyone, different styles, different ways we are ruled (we have a president) different religion, and more. Personally I think we would not be able to stand as a nation without change.
The world needs change.
Things would be miserable without change. Think of everything we wouldn’t have right at this moment. Change was also significant to life, it keeps the world going.
The world keeps changing and needs to keep changing.

Culture was very important because different people of different places bring new things, new styles, new ideas, and new culture just like the Scotch Irish and immigrants did when they came to Virginia.
People we know have different cultures. If culture did not matter, we would probably not know some of the people we know now. Culture feeds our imagination and interests in the world. Culture is a part of everyday life.
Many people like to learn about different cultures and if that didn’t matter, life for some could be a big pile of questions and curiosity. We don’t think about all the important things culture has to do with, but if we tae the time to, a whole new world could open up to us.

Significance of Natural Resources
By Ray
Natural resources are the whole reason why the colonists settled here in the first place. They were seeking gold for fortune. They honestly thought it would be raining gold and gold would be falling off trees. When they got here they realized something a little better than gold. It was trees.
Trees made it easy for the colonists to build houses. This allowed the population to skyrocket in Jamestown. It also allowed a new source of transportation, canoes. There was no way for colonists to travel over water. Canoes made it simple.
Trees helped with everyday things. To keep warmth back then you would need a fire. On a cold day this would be useful. Fires helped people cook. Cold meat wasn’t a good thing so fires helped it warm up. The tall and stiff trees were used to make mast. This allowed boats to set sail.
Water is also a natural resource. Like trees water helps us live. It keeps us hydrated. Without water a lot of other things will die to. Examples are fungi, plants, and animals. We use water to wash ourselves. When we take showers, water helps us wash off.
Water might not always be good for you. When colonists came to Jamestown they realized the water was brackish. Brackish is water in the middle of salty and fresh.
A final natural resource is coal. Coal doesn’t have as much benefits as water and trees. It has one important one though. It keeps trains going which was a new way of transportation.
Natural resources keep our world balanced each and everyday… even though people don’t think they are important.

Culture has put a wide range of “style” in our world. Culture comes in so many ways such as: religion, clothing/style, food, and more. If it weren’t for culture than everybody would practically be the same. Culture tends to make up our whole society.
We take cultures from all around the world and bring them into the U.S. There are some cultures that we think are strange, but to them it’s very normal. The sad thing is that some cultures don’t even or hardly are in use.
When two cultures meet, sometimes they will what I call “exchange and mix.” This means that say two cultures meet, one culture might either take or disagree with it.
Marco Polo traveled all around the world. He traveled to places nobody had ever heard of or had been to. Marco Polo was a trader. He traded with countries whose items were unheard of or people from Venice, Italy. While Marco Polo went around the world, he saw so many cultures. Most were cultures nobody had even heard of. He transported cultures while trying to trade, although that was not his intention. Marco Polo also discovered a new route through Asia.
Culture is very important in history.

The explanation of change during time and history
Change is important, change is the only thing that does not change over time and history. There are good changes and there are bad changes like during the civil war and world war 1 and 2 the problem was that all factories were making weapons and war machines instead of cars, buildings, and lots of other every day life things.
Another change was like for the Indians (first American’s) that lived in the U.S (the new world) needed to face a lot of changes because the settlers were taking land and making it theirs. That meant that the Indians were running out of food and land. That also meant that the only way the settlers would leave was to start a war and kill the settlers this did lead to a war but the settlers did not leave (the settlers won the war).
Without change the world would not exist. Change is every were and it happens all the time. A big change was on 9/11/2001when a couple of terrorist flew a plane into the pentagon a lot of people were killed in this attack. This was a huge change for the U.S government; it was also a big shock for other people.
Another example is without change there would be no cars, oil, ships, and modern house’s , and guns.
Another big change was also on the same day as the pentagon disaster, a couple of other terrorist flew another plane into the twin towers. One more change was we used to hunt and catch food now we just o to the grocery store and buy food. The world is always changing.

Change helps the understanding of history by letting you know what happened over the year. (When something was different or not.) Like a change to plantation owners when the slaves were freed after the Civil War, or a change to Indians when the settlers came to try to take there land. And they were not used their different religions.
Without change there would still be Indians, slaves, and war. We would not have the best conditions. We would need to use outhouses or small bowls. We would not have purified water (or brackish water), some of the food we would catch might not be fresh or might have had a disease while it was living.
Change helps me understand history and I hope it helps you to.

Change has been significant to historical change. Everything is constantly changing. Science is one of these examples.
Back then in 1830, there were no cars, or TVs, or electricity. Now, that so many things have changed, electricity is all around us.
Most of us have computers/laptops, some even both! The cavemen changed some of these things that we use in our everyday lives, like fire. In the Stone Age, there was no fire; until cavemen discovered it.
Lots of things around us are constantly changing, some good, some even bad! One good thing that changed is cars. Because of this, we can get wherever we want more quicker. Although, cars also cause pollution, which is bad. Another thing that changed is technology.
Back then in the old days, no one had phones, or cellphones. They were extremely rare. But now, lots of people around you have cellphones and home phones. Both cellphones and home phones are good because whenever you’re in an emergency, you can take out your cellphone and call a family member that lives close by. But, however, cellphones and home phones expand the bill more. So these are some of the examples of how conflict has been significant to change.

Culture is important in history because it influences people’s lives on a daily basis. Culture is the way a group of people live daily life, celebrate traditions, practice religion, and much more. Culture can differ a great deal; you can see this by comparing the lifestyle of neighbors, which can differ a surprising amount.
Culture isn’t something that can be ended or stopped. Culture can change and be influenced by other cultures. For example, when the Europeans came to North America they influenced the Native American’s culture. Eventually, the Native’s culture disappeared because the Europeans influenced their culture so much.
Culture helps humans stay diverse. Without culture, humans would all live the same lives, which would become very dull after awhile. Having diverse cultures throughout the world is a good think and it makes people feel like they belong.
